Date
May - June 2025
Organization
Kentucky Shakespeare
Works Shadowed
"Much Ado About Nothing" and "Hamlet"
Mentors
Matt Wallace and Amy Attaway
Recognized as the nation’s longest-running free, unticketed Shakespeare festival as well as a local Louisville community jewel, the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival marked its 65th anniversary season in 2025. The season opened with a battle of wits in "Much Ado About Nothing" and was followed by a haunting tale of corruption and betrayal with "Hamlet" as two of the three primary festival plays. Over three months, company members staged, technically rehearsed, and performed each production simultaneously in true repertory fashion. The plays were directed by Kentucky Shakespeare’s producing artistic director Matt Wallace and associate artistic director Amy Attaway, respectively.
