All the ladies who are “anybody” come to gossip and have their hair done by Truvy in her Louisiana salon. Sharing their stories through laughter and tears, Steel Magnolias is the much-loved story featuring six amazing women, all delicate as magnolias, but tough as steel. Drawing upon their strength and love, the women come together to meet life’s challenges. Part comedy of manners, part heartfelt tearjerker, and featuring non-stop banter and wisecracks, Steel Magnolias centers on friendship, community, and the power of the human spirit.
